Candice Lauren Isralow, her real name, deleted by her managers[edit]

Cleanup issues[edit]

I was looking at old versions of this page. It used to say that CN's birth name was Candice Lauren Isralow. Does anyone know if this is correct? If it is, it shouldn't have been deleted from the page.

Also, the following phrase sounds like hype:

Her songs: "Ariel", "Wolf to the Moon", "Black Masquerade", and lyrics for "Hall of the Mountain King", won her international acclaim as a lyricist.

Well, reading the 1995 entry, I remain somewhat skeptical. My guess is that Burrn is a Deep Purple fan magazine, and fan accolades aren't really "international acclaim". And gold records are automatically handed out when an album or single sells 500,000 units, and when this happens, the song writers, musicians, and producers all are awarded the commemorative gold disks. In other words, Candice received a gold disk as the lyricist for the Stranger In Us All album because it sold 500,000, but this doesn't prove that her lyrics in particular had received any acclaim. (BURRN ABSOLUTELY ISNT A FAN MAGAZINE_ IT IS A MAJOR JAPANESE PUBLICATION INCLUDING ALL ROCK ARTISTS_ PLEASE RE CHECK YOUR INFORMATION. Candice's Real Name[edit]

There's a reason for everything and the reason why they deleted it is because of her family! Some time ago her sister was followed by a fan, so she decided to keep using only her stage name! I think it's an invasion and she has the right to use only Candice Night if she wants.

There's not much info on her here. It would be nice to include info about her likes etc. (ie, Stevie Nicks, Marilyn Monroe fan, animal lover), plus her history (she was a model). And yes, that IS her real name (Isralow - it's Polish. She wrote Gone with the Wind for her grandmother who had to flee Poland during the war, I believe). ~~Caeril~~

I went ahead and looked up the IP address of the writer who changed the article on September 27th, 2007 (erased Candice Night's real name, Candice Lauren Isralow, from the article and also erased Blackmore's Night's manager, Carole Stevens, as Candice Night's mother). The IP address comes from Hauppage, NY, Candice's birthplace & this is possibly a family member who does not want the singer or the mother's identity revealed because of overzealous fans (explanation 2 paragraphs above). Her birthname is mentioned in the IMDB profile, which is present in the external links section. If her birth name was Isralow, why is her mother's surname Stevens? In the above interview, she said her modeling name was Loren, not Lauren. Anyway, I guess that her parents were divorced so her family name changed, otherwise she and her mother wants to hide the real surname to keep the privacy of their family. --Hiesp (talk) 21:46, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
