Game farm

[edit]

I disagree with the term "game farm" being forwarded to this article. In colloquial usage, the term "game farm" is often used synonymously with "game reserve", sporting facilities which are managed, marketed, and service completely unlike 'gauranteed-kill' properties. Perhaps some comment should be made on both uses of the term? 00:12, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

POV-Check

[edit]

I, personally, am all against canned hunting. However, I think this article is quite heavy in the anti-canned hunt direction. It'd be very hard for me to write in the pro-canned hunt direction, so, if someone else could, that'd be very good. Jesuschex 14:19, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I dont like the idea of it, I want to shoot wild animals definately not one preselected. Tho these days there is limited area where you can actually shoot elephant/rhino etc and alot of animals are so easy to shoot anyway. Getting to others such a leopard might be another case. The druging etc tho im sure it doesnt happen very often puts it in bad light. Its hardly a afir match anyway even in the wild.--Polygamist times 4 15:14, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

empty Practice section

[edit]

I think that someone with knowledge on the subject should expand the Practice section, or if no one does it pretty soon, have the section removed. It looks bad having a section with just 'this section's a stub' in it. --Mini-Geek 03:41, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It used to have a large paragraph, but it was both POV and copyvio, having been copied directly from the a site on peta.org. Jesuschex 16:29, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Humane Society of the United States

[edit]

Maybe the article should point out that the animals the people who belong to Humane Society of the United States dont get a "fair chance" which is why they dont like canned hunts. I just hate hypocrites!--203.192.91.4 14:37, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

More to the point: HSUS is opposed to *ALL* hunting, and is a "false flag" outfit staffed and funded by the "animal rights" extremists of PETA. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.175.208.114 (talk) 16:45, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV tag?

[edit]

The NPOV tag went up a month and a half ago, with no explanation and no prior involvement by the editor who put it up. I'm therefore taking the tag off. If someone indeed thinks the article isn't neutral and wants to offer suggestions for improving it, by all means put the tag back up and offer suggestions or make the changes. --Atemperman (talk) 19:51, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV in itself

[edit]

"Canned hunt" is itself a pejorative NPOV term, used by animal rights groups like PETA and HSUS which are opposed to *ALL* hunting. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.175.208.114 (talk) 16:44, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
