No flag icons please[edit]

Film festivals are not like international sports events (Olympics, etc) where athlets represent their country, and so flag icons can be placed to stress this fact. Flag icons in film festival award articles give undue weight to the nationality of the actress, actor, director or film. This is so also per WP:MOSFLAGS. Nationality is not mentioned during the award ceremony of film festivals. We mention it here as parethetical additional information, so a simple parenthesis after the name is informative and appropriate without undue weight. Hoverfish Talk 18:04, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

– Per the festival's official website (see, e.g., any recent edition of the 71 total editions), which uses Award for Best X. Therefore, we should standardize to either: (A): Award for Best X (Cannes Film Festival), with a parenthetical disambiguator; or (B): Cannes Film Festival Award for Best X, which follows a more natural-language format. For (B), we would need to move the following articles:
