This Article Reads Like an Advertisement[edit]

This is a quote from the article:

The low-light performance of the 5d is exceptional, which not only allows users to take pictures in near-darkness, but also captures unusually high levels of detail in the shadow areas of frames which are brighter overall. When coupled with Canon's selection of large-aperture lenses (e.g. the 24mm f/1.4, 35mm f/1.4, 50mm f/1.2, 85mm f/1.2, etc.) it offers unique capabilities for available-light documentary photography, and its smaller size (compared to the 1-series cameras) also suits documentary-style work well.

You've GOT to be kidding! This reads like something straight out of a Canon promotional brochure, or worse, from the kind of "review" that would appear in Petersen's Photographic or Popular Photography. :-p - Skaraoke 12:19, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the full-frame captor of the 5D allows for very reasonable images to be taken at ISO 1600, and very publishable things at 400 or 800. I would say that the point is quite accurate, even if the formulation might be a bit lyrical.

The part on the fast lenses is frankly ridiculous, I agree. Rama 13:03, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
