Photos of the bulding[edit]

{{reqphoto}}

A photo of the collapsed building, before it collapsed, and after would do to illustrate the damage, and why officials say it is unsurvivable 65.93.15.125 (talk) 22:01, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As the website is still up, can we use http://www.ctv.co.nz/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/ctvbuilding.jpg as a fair-use image for a destroyed structure? (no new free-use images can be created) 65.93.15.125 (talk) 22:06, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Note that the website is now 'down' a condolence statement is up instead. The pic mentioned above is on the page, don't know about the fair-use issue.
"The building that housed the operations of Canterbury Television was destroyed in the earthquake of February 22, 2011. Many of our staff are missing and lives have been lost.
The thoughts and heartfelt sympathies of those who remain go out to the families and friends of our missing colleagues, and to all in Christchurch who are missing or have lost a loved one in this tragedy."
This is the entire content of the site mainpage. Is it a Copyright infringement for me to have put it in the article? - 220.101 talk\Contribs 12:10, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The message is new, when the site went offline - it came back as a blank page with just the logo. The building image on this article is now under a fair-use rationale. 65.93.15.125 (talk) 13:01, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
As for copying the entire condolences message, I think technically it would be a copyright violation, as a complete verbatim copy. I think it also violates WP:NOTMEMORIAL. It would be better to mention that the website was replaced by a message of condolence, instead of the fulltext message, probably. 65.93.15.125 (talk) 13:01, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, 65.93.15.125 (talk · contribs) for your input. I have also raised the issue at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions - 220.101 talk\Contribs 13:44, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Funding[edit]

Does CTV have a budget? Does it receive funding? Does it have revenues, does it have expenditures? Does it make a profit or is it not for profit? 121.73.7.84 (talk) 21:03, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notable people[edit]

In the words of another user:

In other words -- Don't add names that do not have an article! Corkythehornetfan | Chat? 19:46, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You have removed references to people that have died in the collapse of the CTV building. If you had looked at my edit summary, I suggested that the removal of the list is fine, but you need to keep the reference and work those who died into the prose of the article. The reference also applies to one of the presenters who does have an article, hence you removed too much content. Ok? Schwede66 21:22, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
