Map needed

[edit]

We need a map of these features showing ground elevations, and relationships with other Dyke's and dates of construction. This seems to be infrastructure of a larger story.

Art

I have now added a route map, showing the relationships to other dykes. Since the entire structure is built close to the 10-foot contour, elevations do not seem to be needed. I extended my original map to include the southern section from Setchel Fen to Waterbeach. I have not included the section from Peterborough towards Ramsey, as it is not shown on any Ordnance Survey maps, and most of the sources I can find suggest it probably dates from the building of Ramsey Abbey in around 970. "Essay" tag

[edit]

Following recent improvements, perhaps the {{Essay}} tag could now be removed.--AntientNestor (talk) 15:32, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I was about to add a post asking which parts still read like an essay. Consider it removed. Bob1960evens (talk) 17:09, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks.--AntientNestor (talk) 21:07, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As the person who applied the essay tag... many thanks to you both for your excellent work! Yes, the tag can go. Feline Hymnic (talk) 21:47, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
