Article needs photo of both a Radio phone and Cellular car phone mounted inside a car.

[edit]

While the article has a couple of nice photos of car phones (one radio phone and a one 1G Cellular phone), it could really use two photos of each mounted in a car. I realize that this might be difficult to produce since no one uses the any more but maybe we could find either a creative commons photo or someone with an old vintage 80's era luxury car with one still mounted inside to provide us a photo, at least the cellular car phone. For the Earlier Radio Phone, that would be much more difficult though. One option would be to use a photo from an old TV shows or movie from the 60's or 70's as a number of them include wealthy guys with radio phones in their car, for example Cannon, the 70's detective show. I believe a film or movie screen shot is considered fair use in this context, though someone can correct me if I'm wrong. --Notcharliechaplin (talk) 02:25, 16 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Japan should be mentioned

[edit]

As usual the japanese article has some information about the development there. Seems that by 1961 they had a semi automatic system, becoming automatic in 1966. As usual any advancement that seems to come from the west should be first checked before if it was made in japan first. As their higher IQ usually means they will always be ahead of the white man's conservative brain. 46.222.246.11 (talk) 07:10, 28 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
