Where does the idea come from that it's a "submarine"? Do they say that? Because in the premiere they are talking about Lockheed and Skunk Works (which developed the F-117 Nighthawk in the early 80s). They seem to be hinting that the technology they're stealing is for the stealth plane, which would make much more sense considering the time the show is set.
