Stealing Home

[edit]

If somebody out there is handy with that kind of stuff, it would be cool to have a link to CC stealing home against the red sox, maybe even talk about it a little.

I am a huge Carl Crawford fan but I question the validity of "2005 Fastest Man in the Universe Award". I don't believe this exists though if it did Crawford would surely win it.

[edit]

As of March 2020 there are reports that Carl Crawford's 1501 Entertainment is named in a Contract dispute with Megan Thee Stallion

Preston Marcel Ferguson

[edit]

Who exactly is he. It says Crawford replaced him but when I searched him in google I didnt find any thing. 216.186.198.215 (talk) 02:00, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

a google search reveals his name in the German Wikipedia version of CC's page. Also, that wiki has accepted he plays for the Red Sox. just saying. --Boston Burkenation (talk) 14:25, 11 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Boston Red Sox

[edit]

thanks for the brilliant insight. moving on. scheduled to take a physical on Friday, deal is pending that. --Boston Burkenation (talk) 20:58, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Whilst I am a Red Sox fan, the deal with the Sox has not been confirmed, as such, I am restoring his info box to free agent. I am however hoping above hope that this is accurate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Boston Burkenation (talkcontribs) 04:45, 9 December 2010 (UTC) just noticed that the info box said "washington nationals". HA oops. But multiple reports are coming in that he signed with the Red Sox. I'm hoping that's true. --Boston Burkenation (talk) 04:51, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for acknowledging that. He is a free agent until it's finalized. As a Yankee fan, I hope it's not true. --Muboshgu (talk) 04:54, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

haha, fair enough. but you guys got Cliff Lee just about locked up. Let someone else have a free agent or two. it's good for the game. --Boston Burkenation (talk) 05:00, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Says the guy who's team just acquired Adrian Gonzalez. But we digress for this is not a forum, but the point remains that Gonzalez was a Padre until the deal was finalized, and Lee and Crawford are (at the moment I type this) free agents. --Muboshgu (talk) 05:05, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

okay, yeah, sorry for the off-topic. I want him badly, and the Sox could use him, BUT there has been no official word, and as we know with Mark Teixeira, things change. If I knew how, I would request a semi-protect for a few days, just until this is settled one way or the other. --Boston Burkenation (talk) 05:08, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

And there's also that trade of Mike Lowell to Texas that fell through. For future reference, semi-protection can be requested at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. I've already put in the request for this page. --Muboshgu (talk) 05:12, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

there was also a trade of mike lowell to your yankees that fell apart. three team deal, but it never really gained momentum. as I said, stuff changes. if this is true, it will be changed by admins after the press conference. otherwise, it is what is is. --Boston Burkenation (talk) 05:18, 9 December 2010 (UTC) yup this page definitely needs semi-protection, it's blowing up with edits and reverts. --Boston Burkenation (talk) 05:44, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's a matter of time. Sometimes these requests are responded to quickly, sometimes not so quickly. --Muboshgu (talk) 05:55, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

change it its a done deal pending a physical: http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/nationworld/wire/sns-ap-bba-red-sox-crawford,0,3073800.story —Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.68.243.1 (talk) 07:47, 9 December 2010 (UTC) it'll be changed after he is introduced, not before. sorry that's how it works. --Boston Burkenation (talk) 13:28, 9 December 2010 (UTC) to quote a fellow editor, "Per WP:CRYSTAL, we don't speculate on (potential) sport rosters." when CC's contract is finalized with whatever team he ends up with, Red Sox or otherwise, it will be appropriately updated. thanks to WP staff for semi-protecting this to prevent revert wars--Boston Burkenation (talk) 18:35, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

can someone with authority add "pending a physical" to "On December 8, 2010, Crawford agreed to a 7 year, $142 million contract with the Boston Red Sox. [16]"? thanks --Boston Burkenation (talk) 23:29, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

the deal is DONE, please update his page thusly. thanks! --Boston Burkenation (talk) 22:23, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

According to Peter Abraham and Nick Cafardo the deal has been signed, the physical has been passed, and a press conference is either tomorrow or Monday. Can we PLEASE change this now?--Sopranosmob781 (talk) 22:50, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

done. please provide source of press conference schedule so I can add that in. --Boston Burkenation (talk) 00:07, 11 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
