Removal of text

[edit]

I've trimmed the article to material backed up by reliable sources, rather than info that references the subjects own website. 79616gr (talk) 15:29, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I've restored some of the material that you deleted, as WP:SELFSOURCE makes it clear that subject's own website is considered sufficient source for some material. Additionally, I've stripped away some of the career material, claims that were not actually included in the sources being listed. --Nat Gertler (talk) 18:04, 21 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons

[edit]

Please consider the guidelines in this article WP:BLP before making changes to this article. Making changes as an editor did on these grounds "changes are requested by carl rinsch. The changes are genuine and correct and self requested by CARL." is not permitted. 79616gr (talk) 17:54, 19 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing problem

[edit]

An editor has repeatedly try to add a praiseful description of the subject, sourced either to the subject's own website or to a company that hires out his services. Neither of these are the sort of reliable, third-party sources we consider reliable sources. Instead of continuing to waste their own and the other editors' time by reinserting material that will just be reverted, I ask that that editor (who shows signs of having a conflict of interest) join in the discussion on this page and make suggestions and seek proper sourcing. --Nat Gertler (talk) 23:40, 22 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Despite a 24 hour ban, the same editor is back reverting and adding. Can't see this stopping anytime soon79616gr (talk) 19:49, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I've blocked them again, and fully protected the page to stop this from happening again, and attempt to force them to discuss. Courcelles (talk) 21:27, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Article status

[edit]

Hello User:K.e.coffman: You appear to be the last editor who participated in the 2016 AFD who is still active on Wikipedia (Rest in peace, DGG). FYI, I've boldly restored the article, as John Carreyrou is a very famous journalist (broke the Theranos case! two Putilizers!), and there's now a very in-depth article on later shenanigans in Rinsch's career. Hopefully this is not objectionable, but I'm happy to file a pro-forma WP:DRV if you'd like. SnowFire (talk) 05:18, 23 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback from New Page Review process

[edit]

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: The copyright violation detection tool shows nearly 90 percent of violation ([1]). The problem is with the new section Abandoned Netflix series and legal disputes.

Hola Thilsebatti
Saludos. Marinna (talk) 09:15, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
