Ten-dollar words

[edit]

4th paragraph, 2nd sentence: "Despite Hobbs's acidulated voice and his often trenchant or sardonic delivery, his rendering of the great detective now sounds somewhat avuncular".

I am both a writer and a devourer of books. Most especially I am a fan of Alan Dean Foster, who uses more ten-dollar words per page than anyone else I've ever read. Yet I don't have the slightest clue what that gibberish is supposed to mean, so I very seriously doubt the average reader does.

It's also unattributed opinion and, as such, out of place here. I therefore propose its removal. -- Picapica (talk) 11:46, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
