Many of Carmelina Soto's works have been published in the following:

Campanas del alba, Armenia: Tipografía Vigig (1941). Octubre, 1942-1952, Bogotá: Antares (1953). Tiempo inmóvil: Selección Poética, Bogotá: Tercer Mundo (1974). Tiempo inmóvil: Selección Poética, 2ª edición. Armenia: Editorial Quingráficas (1983). Un centauro llamado Bolívar, Armenia: Editorial Quingráficas (1983). Canción para iniciar un olvido, Selección: Martha Inés Palacio Jaramillo, Darío Jaramillo Agudelo. Bogotá: Fiducafé.

After her death in 1994, many of her works were published and thoroughly analyzed in a book called La Casa Entre La Niebla, by Luis Fernando Suarez A., and Carlos A. Castrillon.

Awards: Pluma de Oro (1943)

Medalla al Mérito Artístico y Literario (1979)
        La Violeta de Oro (1989)

All of this goes towards showing that Mrs. Soto was appreciated within the South American community, especially in Colombia. For a female poet to gain recognition during this time period of Colombian history is remarkable in and of itself, and having some of her works translated for an English audience opens up an entirely new group of people to her poetry.
