Carolyn Merick (1825-1908) was described by Frances Willard of the Women's Christian Temperance Union (WCTU) as a 'lady who can make the WCTU a success, even in the volatile city of Mardi Gras." After a ten-year term as president of her local WCTU chapter, Merrick became president of the National WCTU in 1882.

Merge

[edit]

Carolyn is the same person as Caroline Elizabeth Merrick - same dates, same place of birth and residence, same husband, same interest in WCTU. I am going to merge without waiting for a discussion. Leschnei (talk) 22:52, 10 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
