The opening statement is wrong. I live near both the castle ruins and Murlough Bay, which is not the Cushendun harbour. The latter is in Cushendun itself, and Murlough Bay is around five miles further north along the coast toward Ballycastle. The two are undoubtedly separate, whatever may have been written by some author. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.210.179.34 (talk) 16:17, 12 May 2018 (UTC) P.S. The harbour in Cushendun is a short walk from the ruins along the strand; maybe half a mile.
