I was wondering, as there's a chance she actually died earlier, that the article should be more careful on the date? Maybe something more clear that that the official date is still pending investigation. --Gbonk (talk) 18:18, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article currently states she was found dead on January 4, 2010. There's nothing misleading about that as that is what is currently reported by reliable sources. When and if there's a release of more info, the content can be adjusted. Pinkadelica 19:36, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The last day anyone can confirm she was alive was December 29th, 2009. It's not a far stretch to say she probably died on or around that day. Biars (talk) 03:49, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't disagree with the statement, I just said we need to make sure it's verifiable. It's moot anyway as the article currently states that law enforcement have reported that she was apparently dead for days. Pinkadelica 03:52, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Considering her fondness for communicating using Twitter and other means, I have to say I agree with Biars. The autopsy should be able to give some indication of when she died, though it might not be accurate to the day. We won't know for sure if she expired on the 29th - but the coroner may be able to confirm that she died in 2009. Rupertslander (talk) 23:44, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
And again, are there any reliable and verifiable sources that say she died on such and such died and was found on January 4, 2010? As far as I can tell no, there's not. A law enforcement source telling TMZ that she "appeared" to be dead for days is not the same as her actually being dead for days. Considering the circumstances, I don't doubt that she was dead for days but my opinion is not a verifiable source and unsourced speculation has no place in the article. I don't know, given TMZ's recent track record, they have been pretty accurate and reliable. —Mike Allen 06:16, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There is a glaring error in this biography: The book is "Managing Your Child's Diabetes", not "Managing Your Childs Diets" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Suec09 (talkcontribs) 05:43, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hardly a glaring error but  Fixed nonetheless. Pinkadelica 07:32, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How would we address a death on or between two separate days? Her last external communication was via Twitter as follows: "Sweet dreams everyone," the 30-year-old socialite Tweeted at 1:12 a.m. on Dec. 29. "I'm getting a new car." I found this here: http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/galleries/casey_johnson_dies_at_30/casey_johnson_dies_at_30.html Biars (talk) 06:58, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Considering that source is a photo caption and there's no date given, there's not much we can do but report when she was found dead. I'm sure after a cause of death is determined, an exact date of death will be released as well. If not, the date she was found will have to do. Pinkadelica 07:32, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am curious why blue hands contradict an earlier death. What supports this?

book title

[edit]

CNN, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble all say the book title is "Managing Your Child's Diabetes" (though the version you currently have seems to be commonly out there on the web too).

The dead person has no notability on her own sufficient for a biography on Wikipedia. The gossip implying that she dies of drugs etc. and naming a minor child who is absolutely non-notable is a disaster. Collect (talk) 14:19, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
