Notability

[edit]

Catholitics (talk) 00:21, 2 December 2010 (UTC)Catholics United is a likely the nation's largest progressive Catholic political organization, and is often in the news. I'll plan to update this new entry with some more examples shortly.[reply]

UPDATE: I have replaced several external links to information on Catholics United's site with references to media reports etc about Catholics United. This should adequately demonstrate notability.

UPDATE: After re-reviewing notability standards I removed the mark for deletion. This topic is clearly worthy of a separate story. Its relevance is well-documented in a plethora of secondary sources, including U.S. news organizations such as CNN, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and the Associated Press. In 2009, an influential religion and politics commentator told U.S. News and World Report that Catholics United and allied groups "made a big difference" in the 2008 U.S. Presidential election.[1]
