Support for Kornilov?[edit]

I was just in a class with Dr. Deborah Field and it was mentioned that this division had some support for the Kornilov affair, I did not want to make a change without the source. Although it was referred to as the "violent division" and it was mentioned that the soldiers who supported him were from the caucuses. Please advise 35.1.195.147 (talk) 22:16, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I would greatly appreciate if you could find a reliable source for those claims. All statements need to be backed by reliable sources, a statement being true is not enough for inclusion. I will email my professor for a source on this topic --- I assume there is something from her colleague Dr Kivelson --- theoretically if the lecture was public could I use that at a source? Regardless, I will look for a written source 35.2.147.173 (talk) 16:47, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If there is a video recording or a written transcript of it published somewhere then you can use it as a source.--Catlemur (talk) 18:08, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ascher, Abraham. “The Kornilov Affair.” The Russian Review 12, no. 4 (1953): 235–52. https://doi.org/10.2307/125956.
(page 246) mentions them as violently reactionary and supportive of the affair UNTIL they were told that the Soviets were not going to overthrow the government. 35.2.147.173 (talk) 00:00, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and edited it. Let me know if it is sufficient 35.2.147.173 (talk) 01:22, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
