Hello, I wanted to ask, if "pit" is the same as "pore"? If so, and it seems, that so, then we can add the term "caudal mucous pore" into the fist sentence also. --- I have added it at least to the portal. --Snek01 (talk) 14:16, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Michal. "Pit" has very much the meaning of a passive container. "Pore" on the other hand (to me) tends to suggest that mucus is secreted there, although the word "pore" does not suggest that as strongly as the word "gland" which is quite unambiguous. It looks like caudal mucous pit, but the species (and even family) is unidentified. Maybe from Helicarionidae. --Snek01 (talk) 13:30, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
