Revista Código 3

[edit]

I am not sure Revista Código 3, cited as a source here, is really anything more than a personal blog. Does anyone have evidence that it is a reliable source? - Jmabel | Talk 04:41, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Also, having a 'pornographic proposition' ("una propuesta pornográfica") appear, presumably from another player, in a game is a long way from 'watching pornography'. Some of this really looks like a sensationalistic hatchet job. - 04:51, 6 July 2011 (UTC)

Revista Código 3 is a local megazine of Canelones. In any case, the news transmitted is copied by many other national newspapers (like El País, or La Republica). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Camrada18 (talkcontribs) 03:25, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not a neutral article

[edit]

This is a hatchet job. Rather than describe the program, it attacks it. It includes multiple paragraphs of quotation of one teacher complaining about access to pornography, and several paragraphs which seem to indict personal computer use in general as a health risk. Meanwhile, there is little actual description of the program (timelines, statistics, etc.). - Jmabel | Talk 04:50, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not is only a teacher, for this reason I add a new case in the Department of Salto. --190.108.3.130 (talk) 03:04, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I can´t believe half of the article is an automatic-translated copy-pasted version of the bad spanish article, which is in fact full of badly written propaganda and gossip about a specific situation with a girl and her teacher, unbelievable. In Uruguay any kid had and still has access to pornography in public "cyber coffe-shops", paying fees , but the access is there, is a problem as old as the internet. Besides gathering there and "making friends" and accquaintances there is far worse than the social relationships in a schoolyard, WITHOUT a teacher near.

The section on pornographic risk is not neutral It does seem to be a translation of the Spanish page - wiki/Proyecto_Ceibal, the Spanish page's section has since been edited down to 2 lines. I recommend that the English version be similarly edited down. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.4.225.22 (talk) 02:12, 29 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The only issue here is that now thanks to OLPC we the adults and teachers HAVE TO DEAL with the """problem of sex""" and sexual education for children, instead of looking the other way. Big surprise, kids look for porn and want to know about sex. They also read books and have access to everything else the internet has, which almost 80% of them couldnt until 2006 in Uruguay (citation present in the article) but that´s not the point of half the article, half of it is full of sexual fears and represion, what a shame. 190.64.253.124 (talk) 20:02, 27 September 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.64.253.124 (talk) 19:59, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
