Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because the Centre Mersenne publishes already several academic journals and aims to play an important role in scientific publishing, as many other organizations documented already in Wikipedia. The Centre Mersenne is a non profit organization. --Exol (talk) 15:09, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Exol: I have removed the deletion tag and added a reference to Inside Higher Ed which talks about the centre. Hope that helps. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 15:25, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This page should not be speedy deleted because...[edit]

Thank you @Ritchie333: indeed this page should not be speedily deleted because Centre Mersenne is an important non-profit publishing house for Mathematics. If we delete this page, we should then delete a huge number of other pages which are clearly less important. --Exol (talk) 05:38, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

non-notable journal Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 10:17, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. It's already listed here and there doesn't seem to be much else to merge. --Randykitty (talk) 11:12, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • While this journal is indeed "non-notable" as remarked by Headbomb (at least because it's new), it should be mentioned that it is indexed in both Zentralblatt MATH and MathSciNet, which was a reason for restoring the article on the journal Algebraic Combinatorics (also published by the Centre Mersenne) that was in a similar situation a few years back. Thing is, many open access mathematics journals are created these days (see for example the last edits on the Journal of Combinatorial Theory) because of the "cost of knowledge" protest so this is probably a situation that will happen again. --TheMathCat 16:30, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose: while notability is borderline, the journal continues to be active and grow, so a merge would be inefficient. Readers are best served by having the content separately discussed. Klbrain (talk) 07:55, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Closing, given uncontested objections with stale discussion. Klbrain (talk) 09:50, 8 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
