Merger proposal

[edit]

I propose that the articles Immunomodulatory imide drug and Development of analogs of thalidomide should be merged. Both articles cover the exact same topic: immunomodulatory imide drugs and thalidomide analogs are two words for the same thing. While the second article is titled "Development of...", it is much more comprehensive and also includes information on pharmacokinetics, mechanism of action etc., which is lacking in the first article. I think that the articles should be merged under the title Immunomodulatory imide drugs (not "...drug") since this is the name of this drug class. --Shinryuu (talk) 07:58, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Support merge, and am happy that Immunomodulatory imide drug could be the target. I'd stick with the singular, though, given WP:SINGULAR. There's no special case here; other drug classes use the singular, like: Thiazide, Thiazide-like diuretic, Beta blocker, Sulfonylurea ... Klbrain (talk) 06:36, 12 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Immunomodulatory imide drugCereblon E3 ligase modulator – The current title is not the common name. Since the main mechanism of action of these drugs was definitively discovered, the nomenclature seems to have changed. (t · c) buidhe 05:34, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
