Discovery
[edit]The current lede says, "The plant was discovered by Ragbhir Singh Ubhi, in the late 1800s on a hike through a West-Indies Forest, as he noticed the fragrance of the flowers." That doesn't seem to mesh with the undisputed fact that the plant was formally described by Linneaus in 1753 ([1], [2]), almost 150 years earlier. The Ubhi note was apparently first added in this edit by an IP editor, and subsequently mutated into the current version, naturally still without any references. Can anyone track down a solid source, or is it just long-standing vandalism to be reverted? Hqb (talk) 19:09, 5 April 2014 (UTC)
- Since no supporting evidence has turned up, I've removed the sentence in question. Hqb (talk) 17:05, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
Different Raat ki rani
[edit]In Pakistan there's a pink flowered plant that's called raat ki rani and it smells nice at night. What is it really called? And there should be a link to it in the article. Hotmedal (talk) 14:25, 13 December 2019 (UTC)
