Move

[edit]

I advocate referring to the modern successor to the British Commonwealth (since 1949) as the Commonwealth or the Commonwealth of Nations, which is the name they have chosen. However during the entire period of World War II, it was known as the British Commonwealth, so I propose that this page should be moved to a new title "Participation of Commonwealth nations in World War II" or "Participation of British Commonwealth nations in World War II" or "Participation of the British Commonwealth in World War II". I have a slight preference for the last one for reasons of historicity. Hu 00:42, 27 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

On closer inspection of the article, it is clear that the article is just a vehicle for discussing the resistance of Ceylonese people against colonial occupation during WW II, so I propose that the new title be "Ceylonese participation in World War II". Hu 00:50, 27 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
