Article recreation

[edit]

I've recreated and rewritten article. It was deleted because it failed WP:SOFTWARE (no more, now redirects to WikiProject), WP:V and WP:RS (now article is referenced and sources are verifiable). Notability of mod has been included. Visor (talk) 20:23, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability and self-published sources

[edit]

— Notability? The mod has been used in both Cyberathlete Professional League and Cyberathlete Amateur League. Challenge ProMode Arena was used in DeFRaG and is a replacement for OSP.
— Self-published sources? What sources do you need for informations about credits, development history and available modes, in this case? Visor (talk) 21:05, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

To be blunt anyone questioning the notability of CPMA as a Quake 3 mod is utterly ignorant of Quake 3. Go to a site that's in the slightest bit concerned with competitive Quake 3 and you'll see news posts about new versions of CPMA. This seems to go for some other notable mods too such as Defrag where their notability has been questioned by people whom I can only guess do not play and have nothing to do with the scenes. Just to be as open as possible I am the design lead for this project so am heavily involved, I have not as far as I'm aware made subjective points but I will correct people who're wrong. It's a difficult issue about what edits to make to this article, I will not say anything that's promotional but there are many points like the intent of design changes where only members of the design team will know and would be of benefit for anyone interested in the topic to know. It may be that we have or have not succeeded at whatever aim, but I see no reason not to state said aim. Which wiki policies address this? Ix-ir (talk) 01:05, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Explaining CPM physics

[edit]

'CPM physics' is something many people wonder about when referred to it and still don't know much about it after skimming or reading through this wiki page. Can we have a section that states what its differences between vq3 and cpm are? We can start off with something simple such as while in the air, left/right strafe representing Q1, Diagonal strafe representing VQ3 and forward/backwards represents Unreal's air control...
