Title Inappropriate

[edit]

Currently, the title is listed as "Chamberlain John Deere". For a page that is flagged as part of Australian history, this seems inappropriate. All the iconic Chamberlain tractors were designed and produced while Chamberlain was an independent Australian company, and by the time the company was renamed to Chamberlain John Deere, it was just producing re-badged John Deere tractors. This treatment is completely different from wikipedia's treatment of other tractor makers (for example, Fiat Trattori and Ferguson Brown, which are listed completely separately, not as CNH or Agco). It might be appropriate to have separate articles for Chamberlain and Chamberlain John Deere (though the latter would be almost empty, as there's very little to talk about), but it seems wrong to subsume the important history of Chamberlain under John Deere, who had very little to do with that history.

I'm guessing this renaming is uncontroversial, so assuming there is no discussion, I propose to do the renaming on 1st October 2018. If you disagree, or if I have missed a guideline that suggests the current title is required, please say so. This will entail minor rewriting to distinguish the original Chamberlain company from Chamberlain John Deere.
