Interesting fact

[edit]

I notice that from 1892 to 1893, two members of Benjamin Harrison's cabinet (Secretary of State John Foster and Secretary of the Treasury Charles Foster) shared the same surname. Are there any other examples of this? john k (talk) 04:40, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Citizen Kane

[edit]

I wonder if the naming of the main character in the movie Citizen Kane, "Charles Foster Kane", was meant as a reference to this specific politician. Though granted by the time the movie was made it would have been 50-60 years since he had been involved in politics, but still an interesting factoid.
