Place of death?

[edit]

Sidebar says "London" yet bio says "Horsham" (which is not part of London, but is a town in Sussex); which is right? (thus is the source wrong then?) Please correct. Jimthing (talk) 07:18, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

He died in the village of Warnham in the Horsham district rather than in the town itself. This has now been fixed. Crisso (talk:Crisso|talk) 07:06, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Birth date

[edit]

I've just corrected his birth date from 15th March 1923 to 26th March the same year - this is according to obituaries in The Guardian and The Telegraph (both cited within the article) and his entry in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography (also now cited). As I recall, when founding the article in 2005, I used the 26th March as it was the date Wheeler himself (then still living) had used for his entry in Who's Who. It looks the other date is from one particular BBC obit which we must assume to be a mistake. Crisso (talk) 07:14, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
