[edit]- This is the beginning of the first WP article written by a virgin to WP. I meant to started writing this article earlier tonight and planned to finish it over the next few weeks. It is now obvious that I have gone about this incorrectly. I should have used the sandbox to develop this entry. If is seems appropriate to an experienced editor to remove this as being incomplete and without source citations, I'll understand and will take my time to complete it elsewhere before submitting it to WP. No harm, no foul!

- @Slocode11: I found a couple of references that could help to fill out this article:
- Charlotte Hoak Project on pygmy-forest.com (which itself links to another 54 references)
- Time-line of Horticulturist Charlotte M. Hoak on pygmy-forest.com
- I hope this helps!--Gronk Oz (talk) 13:30, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Gronk Oz: http://www.pygmy-forest.com is my website. I'm trying to craft a succinct biography about Charlotte Hoak with all of those references and her own articles. This WP article is one part of the "Charlotte Hoak Project". Thanks for checking it out. Both writing and WP present a steep learning curve for me so this is going to go slowly. --Slocode11
- I guess those resources weren't so helpful after all then, @Slocode11:! Or perhaps great minds think alike. Never mind, the article is constantly improving and remember - There is no deadline. I did raid the "Charlotte Hoak Project" site to create the first cut of a "Recognition" section in this article, as a starter so there is an obvious place to build that list of documented awards, citations, etc. I appreciate that the whole project is a bit of a learning experience, and you're picking it up just fine: keep going, ask when you have questions or need help, and have some fun along the way!--Gronk Oz (talk) 05:09, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
