It would be nice to be able to find this article by: "Lautenberg Chemical Safety Act" in addition to the act's current full title: "Lautenberg Chemical Safety Improvement Act." I tried, but failed, to find this article in Wikipedia by the shorter name which was given by this organization: Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine on their page: http://www.pcrm.org/media/news/president-obama-signs-lautenberg-chemical-safety-act

I don't know how to add the ability to have this article also be found by the shorter name.

Could someone add this capability, or give me detailed instructions of how to do this? Thanks! - Hal9kXPS (talk) 01:14, 27 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Creating redirect[edit]

FYI, I am boldly redirecting this title to Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act, which is the official short title of the enacted law (see also the discussion about this at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Law#Correct_article_title.3F). The title "Chemical Safety Improvement Act" was the old name of the bill when it was introduced in May 2013 (S. 1009) by Senator Lautenburg (see this link at "General Statement and Background"). After Senator Lautenburg passed away, it was re-named in his memory. Some content from this article was merged into Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act.
