Discrepancy - Fifth or Sixth Busiest Airport in China[edit]

This article says the airport is the fifth busiest in China; the article on Chengdu says it is the sixth busiest. Can anyone resolve the discrepancy? papageno (talk) 03:44, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • This article describes the airport as the fifth busiest. Chengdu says it's the sixth 'largest'. I believe busiest is defined in passengers per year (arrivals/departures/transfers), while largest may be defined by area. I do agree there are discrepancies in the articles discussing this airport, though. For example, right now both Chengdu_Shuangliu_International_Airport and Shanghai_Hongqiao_International_Airport claim to be the "5th busiest airport in China", but I imagine this is because of using different years for the given statistics. This page should be the main source of information about the airport. Both claims of bigness were unreferenced, so a cleaned things up by removing a lot of information from the Chendu article, and making it say what this page says. When references are available and this article gets updated, we can then copy the information to the Chengdu article. I'm not sure what is factually correct, but the current edits make things consistent and much cleaner. —fudoreaper (talk) 23:54, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

China Eastern flights to Los Angeles[edit]

Should Los Angeles be moved to Terminal 2? Flights to/from Los Angeles include a stopover in Nanjing. 71.198.231.208 (talk) 00:15, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, "Los Angeles" is a domestic flight. HkCaGu (talk) 02:49, 25 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Changed. HkCaGu (talk) 02:55, 25 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
An IP continues to move it back to Terminal 1, left a message at his/her talk page. Also, made both hidden and foot note for this. Passengers traveling from CTU to LAX go through immigration procedure in Nanjing not Chengdu. So, yes "LAX" should be listed under Terminal 2 destinations not Terminal 1. 97.85.118.142 (talk) 03:43, 28 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
