Resume-like content and format[edit]

I've removed much of the 'private collections' listings, and will make similar edits to the listings of commercial gallery shows, unless their importance is supported by substantial press coverage. Otherwise such lists appear resume-like and unduly promotional. Once properly pared to a more encyclopedic format and tone, this is a decent start. 2601:188:1:AEA0:D501:5048:8A42:6CE2 (talk) 14:33, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Also I'm dubious about including an unsourced listing of reviews and mentions; there's no indication whether the artist was profiled at length or mentioned in passing. It's also likely that these lists were copied from a resume or gallery website. 2601:188:1:AEA0:D501:5048:8A42:6CE2 (talk) 17:31, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Photography category not applicable[edit]

This article is incorrectly categorized. Cheryl Kelley is a painter, not a photographer. The term "photorealism" means that the image looks like a photograph, but in fact is not. Please see articles about other photorealist painters such as Robert Bechtle or Richard Estes for correct classification of this article. Dodelius (talk) 13:32, 25 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Suggested projects[edit]

I would consider these project categories to be more appropriate. 109 Wikipedia:WikiProject Women artists; 121 Wikipedia:WikiProject Visual arts. Dodelius (talk) 16:33, 25 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

COI disclosure[edit]

Hello! I created this article from a draft in 2016. I did go to high school with Cheryl Kelley and it didn't occur to me to disclose that at the time. It's always been my intent to abide by Wikipedia's Terms of Use and guidelines for Conflict of Interest.
