Wikipedia policies on content acceptability[edit]

Wikipedia content policy

  1. Articles should contain only material that has been published by reputable sources.
  2. Editors adding new material to an article should cite a reputable source, or it may be challenged or removed by any editor.
  3. The obligation to provide a reputable source lies with the editors wishing to include the material, not on those seeking to remove it.

Information on Wikipedia must be reliable and verifiable. Facts, viewpoints, theories, and arguments may only be included in articles if they have already been published by reliable and reputable sources. Articles should cite these sources whenever possible. Any unsourced material may be challenged and removed.

The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth. "Verifiable" in this context means that any reader must be able to check that material added to Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source, because Wikipedia does not publish original thought or original research.

For further information, visit Wikipedia:Verifiability, Wikipedia:No Original Research and Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. Thank you for helping make Wikipedia the most reliable encyclopedia on earth!

Please help bring this article into the "acceptable" class. ClairSamoht - Help make Wikipedia the most authoritative source of information in the world 08:38, 25 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge[edit]

merge rescinded, this is a well-loved article, we just linked it into the main state page Chris 02:47, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Horseshoe Scout Reservation[edit]

In compliance with Scouting WikiProject policy on sub-council entities, I propose the expansion of this article into a larger article, with information added from Horseshoe Scout Reservation. Local articles really need to be council level rather than by camp or lodge, and we really are trying to avoid sub-council articles. Chris 01:55, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Chester County Council CSP.png[edit]

Image:Chester County Council CSP.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:32, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
