Barnet Kenyon

[edit]

Other editors have been describing him as a Labour MP from 1914-1929. This is incorrect. Following his election in 1913 and throughout his parliamentary career until it ended in 1929, he took the Liberal whip in the House of Commons. The term 'Lib-Lab' could have been used for him and briefly was but the term went out of common usage after 1910. His description as 'Liberal' is consistently confirmed by editions of; Vacher's Parliamentary Companion, Dod's Parliamentary Companion, The Liberal Yearbook, The Constitutional Yearbook and Hazell's Annual. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Graemp (talkcontribs) 11:43, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
