Not a "southeastern" river

[edit]

Although it seems like a small point, I must take exception to the description of the Chickahominy as being in the southeastern part of Virginia. As a local resident, I have never heard the area referred to as "southeastern Virginia", that appellation being reserved for the Tidewater region. More objectively, it is apparent from the map that portions of the river are closer to Washington DC than they are to North Carolina. Furthermore, Wikipedia articles describe the nearby Mattaponi and Pamunkey rivers to the north, as well as the Appomatox River to the south as "eastern". If there are no objections, I will change the "confounded" Chickahominy to match. Cwelgo (talk) 19:10, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think "eastern" makes more sense as well. Kmusser (talk) 19:14, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Visitor centre?

[edit]

Chickahominy Bluffs is one of the locations listed as part of Richmond National Battlefield Park. Do they have a visitor centre, guided tours, interactive maps and hotel/restaurant facilities? Valetude (talk) 11:14, 13 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
