This posting is wrong about several items.

Chief Oshkosh is not now and was never buried in Menominee Park.

There has always been controversy surrounding this as originally the Menominee Indians did not give the body of Chief Oshkosh to be buried in the park. Also the body was exhumed in the 90's and the remains of the body that was given to the city of Oshkosh was returned to the Menominee Indians.
