Held 13 times?[edit]

In another source, I have read that they were only held 11 times... Could someone please clear this up? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.31.217.109 (talk) 15:40, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's because the format of the first 11 times was completely different from the that of the rest. The first 11 times (1984-1996) used a knock-out format with 6 to 9 players on each side, while in the later games each side had 3 players for one-on-one matches.--Neo-Jay (talk) 20:58, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Merger Proposal[edit]

This is an obvious duplication with the item Q10875631.

This item (Q5099539) is literally the exact same but links the languages Japanese (ja) and English (en) while the Q10875631 item has links to Korean (ko) and Chinese (zh).

These two items need to be merged into one single item that contains links to all 4 of the languages mentioned above rather than being separate items.

I discovered this when I was navigating the item Q2598356 to find that the link to the wiki page for "China-Japan Supermatch" brought me to this item on the English page. But when I switched to Chinese and clicked on the same link "中日围棋擂台赛" (Chinese for "China-Japan Supermatch"), it took me to a different item.

Links to articles (as you can see all 4 are about the same Go event and belong in a single item):
