Chincoteague Ponies[edit]
I've removed the word "Virginia" from the statement about the VFD's ownership of ponies on Assateague. It is redundant to say that the VFD owns the "Virginia herd of Chincoteague Ponies". As confirmed by the reference (http://www.nps.gov/asis/naturescience/horses.htm), the term Chincoteague Ponies is applied to the herd of ponies that live on the Virginia portion of Assateague Island and that is owned by the Chincoteague VFD. The herd that lives in Maryland is not referred to as "Chincoteague Ponies". AtxApril (talk) 18:49, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
