Pubs

[edit]

I have heard from a reliable source (someone who still lives in Chinnor) that The Black Boy closed down last week, and The Kings Head went earlier in the year. Looks like the village only has three pubs now... --82.39.60.85 (talk) 22:59, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Kings Head closed in September 2012 but The Black Boy is still clinging on. It has had temporary managers since October/November time. I'll keep abreast of what is going on and update accordingly. RioVerde (talk) 11:41, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The Black Boy closed and reopened a few times over the last few years, but closed for good last year (2013), I have updated the page as such. Jokizo (talk) 18:13, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Cement Works

[edit]

The section on the cement works appears to have been copied from www.chinnor.net and is probably a copyright violation, so I have removed it. - Scribble Monkey 09:38, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notable People

[edit]

Mr. Adam Clayton (bassist for the band U2) was born here in Chinnor, i suggest to put his name here as one of the famous names from the village. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pacsgg (talkcontribs) 04:36, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
