Redirect or disambiguation

[edit]

@Necrothesp and Moonraker:, I have been trying to understand this redirect or disambiguation page and the limited information on Chiswick Polytechnic pre or post 1944 seems to be at Chiswick School of Art, so I would redirect the page there, what do you think? Then the mention of Chiswick Polytechnic at West London Institute of Higher Education could link to the redirect.

There is also a WonkHE postcard, if that helps. TSventon (talk) 06:58, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I actually think it would be better if Chiswick School of Art was renamed to Chiswick Polytechnic (as we usually use the most recent name). That article could then take the history right through until the 1976 merger to form the West London Institute of Higher Education. -- Necrothesp (talk) 10:12, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Necrothesp, I see your point, but when I created the page almost all the sources I found were early ones referring to the Chiswick School of Art. I should say it is notable under that name but seems to have receded into obscurity as the Chiswick Polytechnic. Moonraker (talk) 22:56, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Either name is fine by me, but one article to cover the whole history to 1976 is fine. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:39, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am also fine with the name, but as all the history to 1976 is at Chiswick School of Art, a redirect is more useful than a disambiguation page. TSventon (talk) 14:07, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
