I have reverted [1] a series of edits by Koraskadi[2] which added information without any citations and also violates BLP in my opinion. It would be good to discuss such edits here before adding them to the article.--DreamLinker (talk) 06:58, 5 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I've added citations, and there's plenty of where that came from. If you insist, I can add five, or if you further insist, ten citations on each sentence that you dispute. Koraskadi (talk) 07:12, 5 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Koraskadi Thank you for adding the citations. My intention is not to dispute the content, but that any addition to a BLP requires references. It would be good if you add the citation when you also add the content. If there are English language references, that would be preferable, though not absolutely necessary--DreamLinker (talk) 07:18, 5 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. :) I was actually planning to add citations shortly after my initial edits. Pleaes inform me if any content comes under dispute and needs further verification and scrutiny. Koraskadi (talk) 07:28, 5 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge with Cho Min

The daughter Cho Min is not notable beyond her involvement in the scandal and should not have a separate article. The scandal is already covered here so any relevant material should be merged into this article. See also discussion at Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard#Cho Min. Chung Yoo-ra is notable as an equestrian because she won with her team the gold medal at the 2014 Asian Games. Otherwise, it also would be WP:ONEEVENT. --Christian140 (talk) 17:18, 5 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Not many of her fellow medalists in equestrian team events have their own Wikipedia articles. Her career as an equestrian is unremarkable and nonnotable. Her equestrian achievement is mentioned briefly in only two sentences. The rest of the article is about the scandal. The main part of the article is entirely about the scandal. There is no doubt the article Chung Yoo-ra is notable because of the scandal, not her equestrian achievement. And there is no doubt the article Cho Min is notable because of the scandal that is having heavy repercussions in South Korean society. Koraskadi (talk) 23:51, 5 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It's a problem of wikipedia that the other equestrian medalists do not have an English wikipedia article. Still, this is what makes them notable and also makes Chung notable. The Chung Yoo-ra article also would have been deleted if she was not an equestrian. The scandal just was the spark that made people write the article in the English wikipedia even though she was notable before. --Christian140 (talk) 10:28, 7 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
