The NYT link does not count towards notability, as the author is Chris himself. The blogging project indicates thatWikipedia:Websites should be followed, and the notability criteria there is still not met. "the national" link does count. good job with the sources. I have removed the templates. One note : It would be better to work the references into the text rather than just saying "he was covered by..." True! Too many of these "notable" bio articles smack of fanboyism. We need cited facts, not "he was profiled by X newspaper" attempts to prove notability. A lot of internet entrepreneurs' bios on Wikipedia have this problem. (Heroeswithmetaphors) talk 15:37, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Blatant Grandeur[edit]

Parts of this page read like hype and promotion. For example in the intro paragraph it mentions that his sites / blogs are under the top 30,000 sites in the world, that one of his e-books is ranked #70, that another is ranked #3 in some subsection, and so on. It's disingenuous for the Wikipedia entry to claim that Chris Guillebeau has "visited" all 193 countries that are members of the United Nations. As he writes on his The Art of Non-Conformity blog, his only "visit" to Eritrea consisted of a few hours in Asmara airport. As he also writes on his blog, "[m]y one rule is that I don’t count airport stops" and he then rationalizes that "[e]ven if it probably shouldn’t count as a true visit, the honest truth is that I really don’t know if I’ll be allowed back into Eritrea." ^[1] So, he's counting his airport stop in Asmara as a visit to Eritrea because it may prove challenging for him to visit the country. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.179.246.18 (talk) 14:34, 25 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently there are 195 countries, but this article only stated that he visited 193.
