For Reviewers: Case for Notability

Chris Skinner meets several criteria listed in WP:NMUSIC, namely:

--> 1. Has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent of the musician or ensemble itself

This can be seen in the article through his coverage in the New Zealand Herald, New Zealand's most widely circulated newspaper, as well as the profile in The Australian Women's Weekly. I've personally seen him on television before, as well, such as the now defunct Paul Holmes show on TVNZ1 back around 2004-2005, though it is difficult to source that today. I believe the article as it stands already shows he meets this criteria with ease.

--> 2. Has had a single or album on any country's national music chart.

This is demonstrated in the body of the article. Reason to Believe charted at number 5 the week of 19 May 2014 on the Official Top 20 Charts of New Zealand recording artists, placing ahead of many well known New Zealand musicians and placing right behind Lorde's Pure Heroine.

--> 4. Has received non-trivial coverage in independent reliable sources of an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one sovereign country.

This criterion is more debatable. It is more difficult to find mainstream media coverage of his own tours outside of Catholic or Marist circles, at least in online sources, but there most certainly has been mainstream media coverage noting his opening for Barry Gibb and Carole King at the Mission Concert, as detailed in the body of the article.

--> 7. Has become one of the most prominent representatives of a notable style or the most prominent of the local scene of a city; note that the subject must still meet all ordinary Wikipedia standards, including verifiability.

Skinner has been described in the media, including national Christian radio, as a premier purveyor of 'priestly pop' and Christian Contemporary music in New Zealand. He is significant to that community in particular, and his style and talent have been recognised by noted entertainers such as Gray Bartlett. This is all detailed in the article. This is why I began the 'musical career' section by noting he has been proclaimed New Zealand's 'high priest of heavenly pop'.

--> 9. Has won first, second or third place in a major music competition.

This would depend on the definition of 'major music competition', but he did win Artist of the Year and Song of the Year on the Southern Star radio network, which brings me to...

--> 11. Has been placed in rotation nationally by a major radio or music television network.

The body of the article and references clearly demonstrate this criterion has been satisfied. He is a mainstay on the Rheema Media network, and even been profiled there, which brings me to...

--> 12. Has been a featured subject of a substantial broadcast segment across a national radio or TV network.

One of the references to this article is in fact a link to just such a broadcast segment.

• IN SUMMARY

According to WP:NMUSIC, Chris Skinner (may) need only meet ONE of these criteria. He quite probably meets ALL of them, or at least most of them.
