Article name[edit]

Christchurch Town HallChristchurch Town Hall of the Performing Arts — The venue name changed to the longer title some years ago and in 2007, the page was moved to the long title, with the short title as redirect. It is however known by its short title and I proposed on the talk page to have it renamed back to its original title. There has been no feedback on this proposal in two weeks. I can't do the move myself, as moving the redirect page creates a new redirect. Schwede66 (talk) 00:33, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

More on early history[edit]

Here's a comprehensive write up from 1928. This is a further development from 1929 (alternative source). This letter to the editor from 1947 clarifies that nothing progressed. Further discussions were had in 1955 (11 February and 18 February). Schwede66 04:54, 5 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
