Requested Move[edit]

The result of the proposal was move per request. However, this was done because searching sources shows the English name to be about as common or more common than the foreign name in English language sources and an established usage in those sources. There appears to be a possible misunderstanding in citing "use English" below; we do not use a title that is in English over a title that is in foreign words. We look to usage in English reliable sources, not the words in the title. We only look to whether the title itself is English or other if both uses are present (and the foreign is not clearly dominant).--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 12:50, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Univerité Chrétienne Bilingue du CongoChristian Bilingual University of Congo – It's a bilingual university, the English name is one of the official names, and so WP:COMMONNAME suggests that we use that one on the English Wikipedia. The English name is currently a redirect to this page, so it requires an admin to move. If declined, this could instead be moved to Université Chrétienne Bilingue du Congo, as "Université" is misspelled in the current title. - Jorgath (talk) (contribs) 15:31, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Since the {{db-move}} was declined, I'll concede the French name instead of the English one, but I'm going to WP:BOLDly move this to the correct spelling of "Université." - Jorgath (talk) (contribs) 18:42, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - English Wikipedia guidelines state that we should use English. If this school is bilingual, with an English name, than that should be used. I do not see an English name used by the institution however. I also do not see what you are referring to about being declined.--Education does not equal common sense. 我不在乎 01:33, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
