Complicated tangle[edit]

The situation in Germany is somewhat complex, the current text is based on de:Christliche Volkspartei (that is an interwiki link to our Christian People's Party. This imperfect layout of disambiguations and redirects was done by me to cause the least amount of disturbances elsewhere (due to an old mix-up). Викидим (talk) 19:05, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You can't just convert an article into a DAB page as you did. Your comments at Talk:Weimar political parties suggest a misunderstanding about the Centre Party connection. The Centre Party contested the 1919 elections as the CVP. This article is about a separate CVP that contested the 1920 elections (and the 1921 Prussian state election). Thank you! There is still no escape from the fact that Christian People's Party (Germany) has multiple meanings, with this one least known (dewiki is mum). Are you OK with moving the current article to Christian People's Party (Rhineland)? Викидим (talk) 20:28, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Until there is an article on the 1965–1970 party on en.wiki, I don't think a move is necessary given there are no other articles with the same name. If you think it's necessary to differentiate the name that the Zentrum contested the 1919 elections under, that can be done with a hatnote.
Incidentally, there is a huge amount of detail about the party in this source. Cheers, Number 57 20:49, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! I will put both of these onto my work list. Викидим (talk) 21:51, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Here is another source, now talking about bayerische Christliche Volkspartei. Where does this party fit?

OK, Christian People's Party (Germany, 1965–1970) is in place, let's move? Викидим (talk) 22:16, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Done! You only need to include the year of a party's founding in its article title (see many examples in this category). Cheers, Number 57 12:39, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
