This article is a mess[edit]

Can someone who is either knowledgeable (or interested in becoming knowledgeable) about Christopher Williams take a stab at cleaning up this article? Someone hardcoded reference numbers (e.g. [1], [2], etc.) but didn't actually include any references. Also, the paragraphs are run-on and do not convey clear thoughts. Any help would be appreciated.
