Why are these engine called "Méo Penché" in Quebec ?[edit]

Interesting. I had never heard this appellation before, but it is evidently in use. 30 degrees[edit]

"In 1960, the engine was called the "30-D Economy Six" engine by Plymouth marketers, referring to the 30° cylinder block angle.[citation needed]" For the life of me, I can't find any reference to this. I checked the original press materials as posted on valiant.org -- http://www.valiant.org/valiant/introduction.html and http://www.valiant.org/valiant/sinclair/index.html -- and while they talked a lot about the engine, they never used those terms. I went back to an original Valiant brochure. They called it an inclined engine, italicizing inclined. Davert (talk) 18:06, 9 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The "30-D" moniker was not used in Valiant literature. The 1960 Valiant was not a Plymouth. Go look at 1960 Plymouth brochures, or look at the relevant pages on Allpar such as this one. Also see here, not to mention here. —Scheinwerfermann ^T·_C02:39, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Slant Six engine builder[edit]

Hi,

I build cars and their engines as a hobby. I can contribute a number of paragraphs and photos of the /6 engines as well as cars into which they are installed. Compared to some of the more mainline engines, there is not much going on with the slant six. That is not to say that it is dead either. Not only are their manufacturers making parts for these engines, but builders are adding well engineered fuel injection and turbocharging to these engines using components from other automobile manufacturers.

In order to participate, I need to know what you are looking for in terms of subject matter, photographs (content, file types supported, file size, & resolution desired), and how long (words) do you want to devote to this particular section. How can I compose this information off-line and bring it into Wikipedia. For instance, I can compose in html format or MSWord .doc format.

Some time ago, I contributed to Wikipedia on the subject of Dodge Darts. It has been a while and your site has really changed.

245 and 265[edit]

Does anyone know much about the 245 and 265 engines used by Chrysler Australia in the 1970's? Here's a little info http://www.hotsixes.com/hotsixes/?page_id=8 I don't know much about them myself but I've seen mention of them while reading car magazines.
