Why were my changes reverted[edit]

I had made some changes to the page and added extra information fromthe official site. The site is public domain so I believe I can get information from there, can't I? I would like to know why (User) Severo undid my changes, he just wrote something saying I should use my own words. I belibe that since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, usin your own words should not be so mportant. The important thing is that the information be correct. I would like to revert the page back to the way I had it. If anyone has a problem with this, please tell me; otherwise, I will revert the page.Rolugomi 23:00, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

The website is obviously public domain, but does it explicitly state that the words are licensed using a licence which allows Wikipedia to use them? If not, it is copyright violation, which isn't allowed on Wikipedia. This is important. Second, some of the claims need to be asserted by reliable third party sources. So, the organizers tell us "It's the hardest 100 kilometer race in Mexico, where national and international racers take part."... well they would tell us that, surely? We need third-party sources to assert this, independent (published) people who have made an assessment. Last, writing style; a Wikipedia article cannot say things such as "Among what we offer" as Wikipedia clearly does not offer this. SeveroTC 23:11, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
