Church of Saints Peter and Paul, Athlone → Church of St Peter and St Paul, Athlone – Per title given in this newspaper report from The Irish Times. 2001:BB6:A90:B358:AD00:CF43:7B17:2521 (talk) 22:18, 3 August 2019 (UTC) --Relisting. Dicklyon (talk) 23:59, 11 August 2019 (UTC)

- Except for the Irish Times article I didn't find any places where 'St Peter and St Paul' was used. The church's own web site appears to favor 'Ss. Peter and Paul'. Open a full WP:RM discussion if needed. EdJohnston (talk) 02:30, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
- It should really be "Church of Apostles Peter and Paul, Athlone" :) --Comment by Selfie City (talk about my contributions) 19:45, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
- Support per nom. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:56, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose since the parish's own website, using the "Ss" abbreviation, has the present name. Johnbod (talk) 01:57, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
- Then it should be "Ss", should it not? Not "Saints"! -- Necrothesp (talk) 09:19, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
- No, that's just an abbreviation. Johnbod (talk) 11:28, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
- As is St, which we commonly use! In fact, the commonest abbreviation for the plural is the fully-capitalised SS, which is probably the best choice. So I'd go with Church of SS Peter and Paul, Athlone, although as this is purely a stylistic issue I actually don't have any problem with the proposal as worded, which means exactly the same thing and is a common alternative in all churches with multiple dedications. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:57, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
