Move to Chuu (singer)[edit]

Can't we move this draft article to Chuu (singer)? She is also famous as an individual because she appears at several TV shows and her official YouTube channel. --Hatto0467 (talk) 04:30, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Hatto0467: Sure. The problem is, I don't know how. BaaBaaTheSheep (talk) 07:46, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hatto0467, what are the TV shows that she is starring in? Where are the WP:GNG articles? Having a YouTube channel isn't a sign of notability. The commercials need to show notability from external news sources, not references to the youtube videos that she appears in. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 18:16, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@AngusWOOF: I've just now replaced those Youtube sources with reliable sources Btspurplegalaxy (talk) 17:13, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@AngusWOOF: With her Korean variety show appearances, shouldn't she meet WP:Entertainer? She's been the main host for several of the shows. Btspurplegalaxy (talk) 15:58, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Btspurplegalaxy, guest hosting a variety show isn't independent notability, unless she's a long-term host for the season / show and it isn't a Loona-related show. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 16:20, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@AngusWOOF: None of them are guest hosting though? She's been a main cast member for them and is a fixed panelist especially on Running Girls and Steel Troops. Btspurplegalaxy (talk) 16:29, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@AngusWOOF: Your thoughts? Btspurplegalaxy (talk) 13:36, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Btspurplegalaxy, can you describe her roles on the show in the career section? Those are helpful. Looks like most of those are cross-variety shows where she has the panelist/host role (insane quiz show 2, running girls, steel troops) plus shows where she is a contestant (king of mask singer, law of the jungle) I commented out the Chuu can Do it and the Hauteur one since seem to be self-produced YouTube shows that any YouTuber can make. We usually don't list YouTuber web video series. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 19:18, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Does it much matter that one of the shows is a joint project between her and Lotte Department Store and while the other is done with a Korean network DIA TV? Btspurplegalaxy (talk) 20:59, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Btspurplegalaxy, it would have to be something major like 7 First Kisses. But yes, that's why it should be described better in the television career section if other producers are making the show and casting her to star in it. When you put the infobox about Chuu Can Do It, that makes it seem like she's a YouTuber that puts out regular content like those other YouTubers, and those folks their "shows" and "web series" aren't part of their filmography. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 01:54, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
AngusWOOF I can't say that it's on that big of a scale but she was hired to help promote their store but the description needs work. Btspurplegalaxy (talk) 03:16, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

where from the writer of this page figured that chuu has three siblings?[edit]

this is an honest question, i have never heard of any account of jiwoo stating that she has more than two male sibilings. please let met know if you've found otherwise. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.29.27.188 (talk) 20:18, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@5.29.27.188: It's mentioned on these websites that she has two younger brothers! [1] [2] [3] I have posted it from these websites in Chuu's article on the Japanese Wikipedia. --Hatto0467 (talk) 04:14, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@5.29.27.188 If you are referring to where is the sources used in the article to support the content, this is the source. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 04:26, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@5.29.27.188 I take it that you're referring to the sentence that says, "She is the eldest of three children, with two younger brothers." The "three children" does not mean that she has three siblings but is simply referring to herself and two younger brothers, which adds up to three people. She is also the oldest one among the three of them. Btspurplegalaxy (talk) 05:22, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Change to years active section[edit]

Despite Chuu being kicked out of loona it's still unlikely she will end activities as a singer completely so it should be changed back to 2017-present 212.188.244.185 (talk) 19:11, 25 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Queries by User:Loonatheworm[edit]

Adding more information to "Removal from Loona"[edit]

Hi! I'm a user who is new to Wikipedia, I'm making this post to inquire as to whether or not it would be appropriate to add more information on Chuu's removal from Loona by providing some examples of other members of the South Korean entertainment industry offering her support when BBC released their statement saying she would no longer be a member of Loona. Thanks! Loonatheworm (talk) 21:45, 8 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Adding "Girl's Talk" to Chuu (Singer)[edit]

Hello! I am writing this post to ask if it would be okay if I added "Girl's Talk" to the section of Chuu (Singer) that discusses her career in Loona. I would add it, most likely, in the same sentence that mentions "Heart Attack" as the title track of her self-titled album. Thank you! Loonatheworm (talk) 21:59, 8 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Loonatheworm The song is part of her self-titled album which was released as part of Loona's debut concept hence I don't see why it should be mentioned here when we already hatnote "Further information: Loona". Paper9oll (🔔📝) 05:21, 9 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's a great point! Thank you so much!! Loonatheworm (talk) 00:47, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Add solo music with Loona to discography?[edit]

I was wondering if it would be innapropriate to add Chuu's solo work within Loona, namely her self titled album, to the discography section of this Wikipedia article. I believe this would give readers a broader depth of her work both within Loona and outside of Loona. That being said, I completely understand if it would be inappropriate to add those songs to the discography section. As I am a new user to Wikipedia, please let me know if this edit would do harm to this article. Thank you!! Loonatheworm (talk) 22:08, 8 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Loonatheworm Similar to above, the self-titled album was released as part of Loona's debut concept hence I don't see why it should be mentioned here when we already hatnote "Further information: Loona". Paper9oll (🔔📝) 05:21, 9 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Changing "Let's Love" in musical career to present tense rather than future[edit]

I was wondering if it would be okay if I changed the section of the musical career part of Chuu (Singer) that discusses her latest release "Let's Love" featuring Chuu and Kim Yo-han to use present tense, as the song has already been released, rather than future tense, in reference to the song not being released yet. I think this edit will provide readers with a more accurate view of Chuu's recent solo work. Thanks! Loonatheworm (talk) 22:18, 8 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Loonatheworm Please exercise WP:BOLD for such changes in the future as I don't see how there would be objection if any nor are these propose changes controversial. Fyi, this changes is already done per this diff. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 05:18, 9 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

– Clear primary topic according to WikiNav [4] as most are looking for the singer. Lightoil (talk) 01:42, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • It's just 100 views in a month, of which 56 could be identified going to the singer, 16 to fictional character, and the rest was filtered. I don't think there's a lot of clarity in this little data. Does the average English reader strongly associate the term "Chuu" with the singer? --Joy (talk) 07:19, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nomination. The singer's entry appears in 14 Wikipedias and, among the four entries listed upon the Chuu disambiguation page, she is indeed primary since the second entry delineates one of her albums and the remaining two entries are redirects which may not even use the exact form "Chuu". —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 08:22, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak support per nom.--Ortizesp (talk) 15:58, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
